Renewable energy and finding solutions to the world's mobility issues are key focuses for Covestro.
We can assist designers and manufacturers in Australia and New Zealand who are working on renewable energy projects in developing new materials for solar assets/modules that are strong, durable and can withstand demanding environmental conditions.
Covestro involved in various renewable applications such as insulating materials, bend restrictors, stiffeners, cable protections and others applications.
Two recent examples being the Solar Impulse mission in which a solar aircraft flew around the world without fuel, incorporating Covestro’s ultra-lightweight and insulating materials to fulfil its mission. Plus the World Solar Challenge in which a solar-powered car drove 3 000 km without using a drop a fuel, incorporating Covestro’s bio-based hardener Desmodur® eco N 7300, a top clearcoat able to be exposed to hardest climate condition.
